The 180mm (7.1″) Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system has 2,700mm focal length (f/15). With 44% greater light grasp than a 150mm Mak, you’ll get brighter images and better resolution. The mount accepts interchangeable GoTo or Standard (non-GoTo) dual-axis electronic hand controllers (your choice at time of purchase). With the GoTo controller, you can command the telescope to swing to any of 13,400+ celestial objects. Dual internal stepper motors then move the telescope at up to 3.4-degree per second right to your target object, tracking it while you observe or photograph it. With the standard dual-axis controller, you get the same precision slewing, tracking, and guiding functionalities, just without the computerized pointing.
